Please read these terms and conditions carefully before registering for the Africa Public Innovation Training 2026. By completing your registration, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Registration and Payment

1.1 Registration Process

Registration for the Africa Public Innovation Training 2026 is completed through our official website registration form. All registrations are subject to availability and verification.

1.2 Payment Terms

  • All fees are quoted in Nigerian Naira (₦) and US Dollars ($)
  • Payment must be made in full at the time of registration
  • We accept major credit cards, bank transfers, and other approved payment methods
  • Registration is not confirmed until payment is received in full

1.3 Early Bird Registration

Early bird rates are available until February 15, 2026, 23:59 WAT. After this date, standard registration rates will apply.

Important: All prices are exclusive of applicable taxes and bank transaction fees. Payment confirmation will be sent via email within 24 hours of successful transaction.

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

2.1 Attendee Cancellations

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to workshop@firststrategy.co.uk. The following refund schedule applies:

  • Cancellation before February 1, 2026: 100% refund of registration fees
  • Cancellation between February 1-28, 2026: 50% refund of registration fees
  • Cancellation after March 1, 2026: No refund available

2.2 Transfer of Registration

Registrations may be transferred to another person from the same organization at no additional cost until March 5, 2026. Transfer requests must be made in writing to workshop@firststrategy.co.uk.

2.3 Training Cancellation or Postponement

In the unlikely event that the training is cancelled or postponed by the organizers, registered attendees will receive:

  • Full refund of registration fees, or
  • Option to transfer registration to the rescheduled dates

Note: The organizers are not responsible for any travel, accommodation, or other expenses incurred by attendees in the event of training cancellation or postponement.

3. Training Participation

3.1 Access and Admission

  • All attendees must be registered and have valid identification
  • Training badges must be worn at all times during the event
  • The organizers reserve the right to refuse admission or remove any attendee for inappropriate behavior

3.2 Program Changes

The organizers reserve the right to make changes to the training program, speakers, schedule, or venue as necessary. Registered attendees will be notified of significant changes via email.

3.3 Photography and Recording

By attending the training, you consent to being photographed, filmed, or recorded. These materials may be used for promotional purposes by the organizers.

3.4 Code of Conduct

All attendees are expected to adhere to the training's Code of Conduct, which promotes professional behavior, respect for others, and a harassment-free environment.

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 Training Materials

All training materials, including but not limited to presentations, documents, and digital content, are the intellectual property of the speakers or First Strategy International Consulting.

4.2 Usage Rights

  • Attendees may use training materials for personal educational purposes
  • Commercial use or redistribution of training materials is prohibited without prior written consent
  • Recording of sessions for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited

5. Liability and Insurance

5.1 Liability Limitation

The organizers' liability for losses or damages incurred by attendees is limited to the amount of the registration fee paid.

5.2 Attendee Responsibility

  • Attendees are responsible for their own travel insurance
  • Attendees are responsible for their personal belongings during the training
  • Attendees must comply with all venue rules and regulations

5.3 Force Majeure

The organizers shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from circumstances beyond their reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, or pandemic situations.

6. Data Protection

6.1 Privacy Compliance

The organizers comply with applicable data protection regulations. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

6.2 Marketing Communications

By registering for the training, you consent to receive training-related communications. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time using the unsubscribe link in emails.

6.3 Attendee Directory

With your consent, your name, organization, and job title may be included in the attendee directory shared with other training participants and approved sponsors.

7. Special Requirements

7.1 Accessibility

The organizers are committed to making the training accessible to all attendees. Please inform us of any accessibility requirements during registration.

7.2 Dietary Requirements

We will accommodate dietary requirements indicated during registration. Please notify us of any changes at least 7 days before the training.

8. Dispute Resolution

8.1 Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

8.2 Dispute Process

Any disputes arising from these terms shall first be addressed through direct negotiation with the organizers. If unresolved, disputes shall be settled through mediation in Abuja, Nigeria.

9. Amendments and Updates

9.1 Terms Modification

The organizers reserve the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website with the "Last Updated" date.

9.2 Continued Acceptance

Continued use of our services or attendance at the training constitutes acceptance of any modified terms.
